Its tongue is in the back of your throat, curling down your spine. Its fingernails grow longer and longer, until they clutch your organs and work their way inside them. You are no longer yourself. You are a part of it now. You are a part of the unnameable. Sleep now. Sleep.Hypnotic Induction Technique is a collection of comics, mostly from 2009, with a few from 2010-11. All of the comics share a dream-like quality. Some play with traditional narrative structure, while others float through transformational abstraction.2-color cover, 40 pages, 7 x 8.5 in.

Grant Reynolds' work was recently selected for the 2011 volume of Houghton-Mifflin's Best American Comics. His work has appeared in Elfworld, Shitbeams on the Loose, and the Finnish comics newspaper Kuti Kuti. He's a member of the Chicago jam comics group Trubble Club. And he's also exhibited artwork at Giant Robot for a two-man show with Jeremy Tinder called Chip Beef, Chipped Tooth, as well as CartoonInk!: Emerging Comics in Context at SAIC, and this year's Eat Before We Eat You show, which will be open during CAKE. In 2009 Top Shelf published his book Comic Diorama. He currently lives in Chicago with an aloe plant and cockroaches.
