covid-19 policy
CAKE strongly recommends and encourages those in attendance, exhibiting and volunteering to remain up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations and wear a mask during the duration of the event for the safety of everyone in attendance.
We strongly encourage everyone to wear well-fitting face coverings, especially while indoors and be supportive of others who choose to wear a mask outdoors as well.
CAKE will be implementing the following measures to reduce the public health risk for our attendees, exhibitors, volunteers, as well as the local community at the Zhou B. Art Center.
Strongly encourage the use of well-fitted face coverings indoors.
Masks and hand sanitizer stations will be provided.
CAKE recommends all attendees, exhibitors and volunteers test for COVID-19 within 48-hours prior to the event, if possible.
We recommend self-monitoring for symptoms COVID-19 over the duration of the event.
As CAKE takes place at a public park, outdoor space is available and encouraged for eating and drinking.
For CAKE Exhibitors Only
We ask that only exhibitors are present behind their tables to reduce close contact and potential exposure to COVID-19 due to crowding.
Chicago Community COVID-19 Risk Level recommendations provided by the Chicago Department of Public Health can found here. CAKE acknowledges not everyone may be able to attend or exhibit due to this policy and recommend checking out Cartoonists Against Covid to support cartoonists unable to attend comic shows due to COVID-19.
Thank you for sticking with us, your patience and your support!
