CAKE 2016 Special Guest Announcement: Cathy G. Johnson!
CAKE is excited to announce our second special guest for 2016: Cathy G. Johnson!Cathy G. Johnson is a cartoonist living in Providence, Rhode Island who makes comics, drawings, prints, and books about confrontation and sincerity. Cathy was awarded the 2014 Ignatz Award for Promising New Talent. Cathy also teaches at various afterschool art and theatre programs throughout Rhode Island and is a founder and organizer of the Rhode Island Independent Publishing Expo, which was awarded a project grant from the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts in 2015. Cathy's first graphic novel, Jeremiah, debuted in 2013. Cathy's other comics and artwork are available at their online store, One Percent Press, Czap Books, and Youth in Decline.
