CAKE DEBUT: Island Brat 2 by Colleen Frakes

I grew up on McNeil Island, home to America's last island prison,accessible only by air or sea. People seem to find this prettyinteresting, so I keep making comics about it. Colleen Frakes was a member of the inaugural class of the Center for Cartoon Studies. In 2007 she received a Xeric Grant for her book "Tragic Relief". In 2009 she was awarded the Ignatz for "Promising New Talent" for her book "Woman King". In 2010, her comic "Island Brat" was published with help from Koyama Press.
